Nautic 2013, experience it all!

NAUTIC 2013, EXPERIENCE IT ALL!

The new visuals for Nautic 2013 have been unveiled. They illustrate the variety of water-based recreational activities there are to enjoy, dividing them into three visuals corresponding to the three major types of leisure activities: motorboating, sailing and surf sports. The visuals reposition man as the central player in each action, whether he is a boat lover or simply a holidaymaker, enabling everyone to imagine themselves enjoying the boating or water sport experience.

Nautic - Salon Nautique International de Paris will open its doors at Porte de Versailles in Paris from 7th to 15th December 2013. An immense crowd of industry professionals, boating enthusiasts and visitors nurturing a dream, coming from all over Europe, will gather together at the show as they do every winter. With 240,350 visitors (OJS figures) in 2012, Nautic is the number three French exhibition all sectors taken into account, and the number one boat show in the world in numbers of people attending. With an increase of more than 25% in foreign visitors last year, private individuals and trade professionals alike, Nautic is also establishing itself as an increasingly international event, the showcase for a model industry in the City of Light.

Through thick and thin, all the major players in boating and water sports come to the event each year, and the show's official poster illustrates the expectations and market trends with regard to the industry's three main activities: motorboating, sailing, and surf sports. The 2013 visuals depict homo sapiens in the centre of the picture in diverse situations, each one corresponding to a specific world: a swan dive from a runabout in the Mediterranean, tacking a fine sailboat downwind, or riding the surf on a magical wave. The faces of the individuals are not visible, so that everyone can imagine themselves in their place, no matter what one's choices, tastes, region or type of activity.

Nautic 2013 can also count on the sound and loyal partnership of Jeep®. The trend toward mobility and more recently the improvements in towing regulations also make these legendry vehicles prime partners for many boaters. A Jeep® is capable of getting both the boat and the crew to the ocean under optimum conditions.

So what does the 2013 show have in store for us? While it is still too early to reveal everything, the organisers have taken advantage of the presentation of the new visual to announce several world previews, like those at Dufour Yachts, Bénéteau and Jeanneau. The emphatic return of major players in motorboating like Sunseeker, Princess and Azimut, who will be coming to exhibit alongside Monte Carlo Yachts, Prestige, Rhéa Marine and other boatbuilders regularly at Nautic, gives a boost to a sector that will again have a vast array of product news.

In surf sports, the stand-up-paddle race across Paris--the Nautic Paris Crossing--is riding a wave of success. It has become one of the top annual events. This winter 300 competitors will be gathering to race from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France to Quai de Javel, on Sunday 8 December. As for the calendar of organised activities, it is already quite full, and even if the renovation work on Pavilion 1 will somewhat alter the layout, visitors will still be able to enjoy an exciting, colourful Nautic rich in experiences.

Nautic…because boating will always be a pleasure, no matter what the situation of the economy, our tastes, our age or the age of the captain!
